Questions
Which browsers can listen to a tab?
Chrome and Edge on a computer. When the browser asks what to share, pick the tab that’s playing and keep “Share tab audio” on. Safari, Firefox and phones can’t share a tab’s sound with a page yet.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. The model is part of this page and runs in your browser; the sound goes from the tab straight to it and nowhere else. Voice Check keeps no recordings, only the last minute of readings you see on screen.
How sure is it?
Voice Check gives a reading, not proof. A brand-new voice generator can slip past it, and a real person on a poor line or in a noisy room can look unusual. It is most reliable after a few seconds of clear speech, so watch the slider settle rather than a single moment.
Does it work with any language?
It listens to how a voice sounds, not what it says, so it isn’t tied to one language. It has heard the most English speech, though.
